WhatTheBotSaid is an AI visibility tracker: it checks whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude recommend your brand when buyers ask about your category, who they name instead, and which pages they cite.
Who it’s for: Indie founders, small SaaS teams and agencies.
What it does
- Free check, no account needed. Enter your brand, website and what it does. We write five realistic buyer questions for your category (without your brand name in them) and ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. You get a shareable results page showing whether you were named, who was named instead, which pages the assistants cited, and three things to fix.
- Weekly tracking on paid plans. The same questions are re-run every Monday so you can see your score and competitors over time, not just one snapshot.
How a check works
- Answers come from each provider’s official API: OpenAI gpt-4.1-mini with web search, Perplexity’s Agent API (which searches the web), Anthropic Claude Haiku with web search, and Google Gemini Flash, which currently answers from the model without live search. Every plan and the free check use all four. Each result shows which model answered.
- The score is the share of answers that name your brand. If an assistant doesn’t answer during a check, the results page says so and leaves it out of the score.
- AI answers vary from run to run and differ from what a logged-in user sees in the consumer apps, so one check is a snapshot. Weekly re-checks show the trend.
- Free checks are limited to 2 per email address per day.

- It doesn’t promise rankings or pay AI companies for placement. It shows what the assistants answer and which pages they read, so you know what to fix.
