How does the check work?
We write 5 realistic questions a buyer in your category might ask, such as "what's the best privacy-friendly analytics tool?". Then we ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude through their official APIs. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude search the live web; Gemini answers from the model without live search. We read every answer, list the brands it names in order, and show whether yours is one of them.
Is this exactly what I'd see in the ChatGPT app?
Not exactly. Answers vary between runs, users, locations and app versions, and the consumer apps add personalization we can't see. We use each provider's API with similar settings. That's why paid plans re-run the same questions every week and show the trend, not just a single snapshot.
Which models do you use?
Fast, current models: OpenAI's gpt-4.1-mini with web search, Perplexity's Agent API (fast preset), Google Gemini Flash (answering from the model, without live search), and Anthropic's Claude Haiku with web search. Every result shows which model answered.
What do the fix ideas look like?
Concrete next steps based on the actual answers: which competitors keep winning, which sites the AIs cited, and what to publish or where to get listed so you show up for those questions. We don't promise rankings; we tell you what the AIs are reading.
